A movie's still photographs which are captured by a photographer caters to building a desire and excitement in the cinema lovers, right from the time it is filmed, till it reaches the box office. Once, even the world renowned movies like Bharathan's 'Thakara' were sold with the help of photography albums. As time passes by, the photos taken by these photographers who still work in the industry remain as forever treasures to be cherished from the past era. FEFKA Still Photographers Union is a union of several photographers whose contributions to Malayalam cinema are timeless.

FEFKA Still Photographers Union was registered and started functioning in 2009 in accordance with the Trade Union Act of 1969.
